It is now been 2 weeks. I haven't had much sleep lately because of this whole love thing. Tomorrow is the day that I get married to Princess Auzu. Wow!! It's been that long. I looked outside of my window as the sun was shining through. I haven't seen Tammy since 2 weeks ago when she told me about Bakura and that she was now a vampire. Tonight I was g oing to go and find her body and bring her back here. Then I will cancel the wedding with Princess Auzu and marry Tammy. But how? Seto and the others already hate Tammy, maybe there is someway I can make them like her just like I do. She was my first kiss and she was the one that took my breath away. I felt the wind blow my hair as I closed my eyes and remembered the first time we met. It felt like just yesturday we met. I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in" Mana came in. She looked a little sad when I sent her to the dungeons last time.
"Atem, is it alright if I can talk to you about something?" I nodded
"Yes, my lady. Please join me on the balcony" Mana walked over to me on the balcony.
"What is it you wanted to talk about, Mana?" Mana looked like she didn't want to say it, but I knew that she wanted to tell me. We've been best friends ever since and that she hasn't told me anything that I don't know about around the palace.
"Atem, I just want to ask you about tomorrow" I nodded
"Carry on"
"Well......I just wanted to know are you excited tomorrow?" I looked at my braclets on my wrists.
"Mana, at this stage I can say that I'm not excited. Princess Auzu isn't the one for me" Mana nodded in agreement.
"Yeah that's what I thought about. I was sorry for telling Seto and the others about Tammy. I actually want to ask you if I can go and help you find her" my eyes widen in shock and I turned to face Mana.
"Mana? Do you really mean that?" she nodded again
"Atem. If Auzu isn't the one you love, then your mission is to find Tammy and marry her then" I smiled and looked back over Egypt
"But Mana. Seto wouldn't let me marry Tammy because she's not a princess. Also I can't betray my own father's words. Although I don't care about it. Look Mana" she looked at me as I looked back at her
"I love Tammy. But right now, it's not the right time to go off, tomorrow I'm getting married, I just hope that Tammy would show up there" Mana shook her head again
"Atem. She won't come, remember vampires only come out at night" I hit myself in the head
"Duh....Atem you stupid boy!! Of course they do. I have to go and search for her tonight ok? You must stay here and keep guard. Tell the guards that I'm away on business and getting the wedding ready ok?" Mana smiled
"Yeah Atem. OK!! I'll tell the guards that and just keep telling them that. But what happens when you return home with Tammy?"
"I'm going to keep her in my room, but you must not let anybody go into my room ok? Not even the cleaners. I can't have Seto knowing about this"
"I'm at your service, I'll do everything I can"
"Ok thanks Mana" then she hugged me tightly. I hugged her back.
DINNER TIME
I was waiting for dinner to arrive at the table. Mana was grinning at me and giving me thumbs up every 5 seconds -.- that's Mana for you!! Then sitting opposite was Seto. He was looking at me like I was crazy or something. I hope Mana didn't tell him my plans for tonight. Sitting beside me was my soon-to-be-wife. I didn't like her sitting beside me, but it was also rude for me to push her away like that. Dinner came with servants placing food onto the tables for each of us. A ser vant gave me roast pork with vegetables. Looks good to eat. I picked up my knife and fork and saw Princess Auzu's hand over my hand.
"My Pharaoh, I am very excited about tomorrow" I nodded
"Me too my lady" She looked at me worried
"Pharaoh, you don't sound excited, you sound more worried than excited. Is something wrong, my Pharaoh?" I looked at her and pretended to be excited.
"Yeah....uhh.....I am excited!! You'll soon be my wife by the end of the day tomorrow" she smiled and starting eating her own meal. I picked up a roast potato from my plate and thought about me searching for Tammy tonight. Just then Seto stood up.
"I hereby would like to take a toast to the Pharaoh and his soon-to-be wife!!" Everybody at the table stood up except Mana. She was busy stuffing her face with food, I stood and watched everybody bump wine glasses. Then everybody sat down again. I couldn't stay here anymore. I wiped my mouth with a knapkin.
"Thank you for the lovely dinner" I clapped my hands, 2 servants came and picked my plate up.
"Thank you, that was a lovely dinner you have made. I must get going now" the servants bowed and walked away with my plate. Seto looked at me
"My Pharaoh, you're fast at eating tonight. Why don't you have some more?" I knew this was a plan for Seto to keep me here
"I'm full thanks Seto. But I must get back to doing my work. Egypt is a big place for a small ruler" I heard Seto yell at me
"My Pharaoh, if you need help please come find me" I waved my hand in reply and walked to my bedroom.
I wore a blue cape so that nobody would see it's me, I wore a hood to hide my face and left my jewellery at home. I sneaked outside as the palace guards were eating dinner. I grabbed my horse and rode off.
After 5 minutes of riding through the woods I came to the lake where I first saw Tammy. I walked down with my horse to get a drink. I saw a re flection in the water and turned around to meet some glowing red eyes.
"Tammy!" I said in shock "You scared me" she smiled at me
"I'm sorry Pharaoh. I didn't mean no harm to you" she sat down in the grass.
"You were looking for me?" how did she know?
"Uhhhh......yeah I was. But how did you know?" She smiled
"Because, why are you here then?" I smiled back
"I couldn't help it. I came to help you and free you from Bakura's spell. Is there a way?" She stoodup and looked into my eyes
"Yes there is a way. You have to kiss me the way you first saw me Pharaoh" I remembered that time. I leaned in and wrapped my arms around her and kissed her softly on the lips. She kissed me back and I broke apart after a while. I saw that she was melting in my arms
"NOOO!! What's happening?" she didn't answer and I saw her face turning into a chocolate brown colour. In a matter of seconds, she was gone.
"Tammy? Tammy?" I can't let Bakura take her away from me like this! I must find her. I waited by the lakeside thinking where I would find her until a figure appeared behind me.
"Hi" I saw her again. It was Tammy and she was free from Bakura now. I stood up and hugged her so tightly. It felt as though I was gonna die and I didn't want her to leave me.
"I thought I was gonna lose you, my love" she hugged me back
"Don't worry. I knew that if you k issed me I wouldn't go forever" I sat down by the lakeside.
"Please tell me what happened. How did you become a vampire in the first place?"
"I will tell you. But it's kinda long though" I motioned for her to sit on my lap
"I can wait. Anything for you my love" I saw she blushed and sat in my lap.
"I was down here at the lake. I was playing a game of catch with Tigee before Bakura showed up. He hit my tiger with a spear and kill her in an instinct!! I ran over to try and take the spear out until Bakura grabbed me by my hair. He said to me that I'm all alone now because the Pharaoh hates your guts and he is now in love with somebody else. Then I told him to g et lost that's when he made me black out with his power and the next thing I knew I ended up at his place. I woke up slowly to find myself in a dark room filled with theives. They all wanted me to have sec with them but I didn't to. So I used my fighting skills to get out but found that Bakura was blocking my way. At that very moment he took control of me and said a weird spell. That's when I became a vampire and saw you that night. Bakura told me that Seto came to him to get some powder stuff to put in your drink so that you lose your memory. But I can see that didn't work. Bakura wanted me for himself and that he didn't want you to have me. I think he was jealous. Until you kissed me everything is normal. I'm no longer a vampire nor am I a here for Bakura. I'm back here with you".
My eyes slowly came with tears, I couldn't help myself
"Sounds like you had quite a journey Tammy. But if you are ever in danger you can call me" she smiled
"But what about Seto and them? They hate me even talking to you. After the bad things I've done they won't let me be around the palace at all!!" I kissed her neck.
"You'll be fine. I have to have a word with Seto about why did he betray me like that? He's my cousin and I'm the one that's suppose to keep Egypt in good hands. Away from bad people like Bakura". We hugged again.
BACK AT THE PALACE
Tammy and I were sneaking back into the palace. She sat on my bed.
"Are you sure I'm suppose to be here?" I nodded
"Yes you are. But I have terrible news for you" she looked worried
"What is it?"
"Tomorrow is the day of our wedding. I'm going to get married to Princess Auzu. I know I left to saving you a little late. But you have to understand I'm doing all I can, and I'm a busy boy" she smiled
"I understand my Pharaoh. But you better get some rest for tomorrow. It's going to be a big day" I nodded and walked over to her.
"But you do realise that I love you. I don't love Princess Auzu at all. Just because my father thought she'll make a good Queen to Egypt doesn't mean that I think she's perfect" I kissed her neck again softly.
"I hear you Atem" A knock was at the door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me, my Pharaoh, Princess Auzu!!" I froze
"You didn't tell me she sleeps in your room" Tammy whispered to me
"I forgot" I whispered back. I had to hide tammy.
"I have to hide you"
"Atem dear? Can I come in?" I pushed Tammy into the closet and closed the door.
"I'm getting changed dear"
"Atem, you already know I've seen you naked before. You don't have to hide anymore" she opened the door to find me reading a book in bed.
"My Pharaoh, I thought you said you were getting changed" I looked up from my book
"I already have changed Auzu" she smiled
"Ok".
That wasn't the end of my problems yet.
